Overview

Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt is a platform that offers our members quality home rental accommodations and provides them with more flexible stay options beyond the traditional hotel stay.

Every home is unique – members who book with Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt have access to a unique collection of private homes that range from cozy apartments and condos to private homes with pools. Each property is professionally managed and unique to support your individual vacation needs.

Hyatt works with property management companies that have been vetted in an effort to ensure they meet standards in quality, service, safety, and security. These property management companies work directly with the individual homeowners in an effort to ensure all laws and regulations are followed and that our members have a positive stay experience at homes offered on Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt.

Guests can expect to arrive at professionally managed, vetted, and highly curated homes that are equipped with kitchens and have amenities commonly found in short-term residential spaces. Details about amenities at specific homes can be found within the “amenities” section on individual property pages.

We are continuously adding new properties to the portfolio and listening to member feedback.

Reservations

This functionality is currently unavailable. All bookings must be made on the Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt site.

You can look up your existing reservation by clicking on “My Homes” and entering your full name, email address, and reservation number found in your confirmation email. Note you will not be able to see your Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt reservation in the World of Hyatt mobile application or on Hyatt.com.

Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt offers short-term home rentals with a maximum length of stay of 28 days unless applicable laws or regulations set a shorter maximum length of stay. 

You must book the property through Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt for the stay to receive World of Hyatt points and tier qualifying night credit.

Payments

All properties require 100% payment upon booking. For paid stays, your credit card will be charged within 48 hours of the stay being booked. 

When making a reservation with points, all points will be deducted from your account within 24 hours of booking.

You will see a note that your payment failed and be advised to re-enter your credit card information. 

If you are booking a paid stay, the total price includes taxes and fees. A breakdown of taxes and fees is available on the payment page on the Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt site. If you request add-on services that the property manager agrees to accommodate, those charges will be shared separately and directly by the property manager.

If you are booking an award stay, the total number of points required for a reservation includes all taxes and fees. If you request add-on services that the property manager agrees to accommodate, those charges will be shared separately and directly by the property manager. It is not possible to pay for those add-on services with World of Hyatt points.

Cancellations and Modifications

Subject to each property’s cancellation policy, you can cancel your existing reservation on the site. You will need your reservation number found in your confirmation email. Upon entering the required information, you will have the option to cancel your existing reservation.

The cancellation policy varies by home. Please refer to the cancellation policy on the property listing page or your reservation confirmation email. No refunds will be provided if a cancellation is made past the cancellation period stated in your booking confirmation email. 

To modify your stay, you will need to cancel and rebook. No refunds will be provided if a modification is made past the modification period stated in your booking confirmation email. 

If you cancel your reservation, any refund will be as set forth in the applicable cancellation policy. However, there may be a cancellation fee. Please refer to the specific cancellation policy in your booking confirmation email. If you are entitled to a refund, you can expect points to be returned within 24 hours or your credit card to be refunded within 7-10 business days.

In the unlikely situation that this happens, we will work with you in an effort to find an alternative accommodation, or you will receive a full refund. 

World of Hyatt: Earning

Members earn 5 World of Hyatt Base Points per eligible $1 USD spent, plus standard elite tier bonuses, and Tier Qualifying Nights for Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt stays. 

Please allow up to fifteen (15) business days after your qualifying activity for points and Tier Qualifying Night(s) to be credited to your World of Hyatt account.

World of Hyatt on-property benefits do not apply to stays booked via Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt. The following on-property benefits are excluded from stays booked via Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt given the nature of these properties: 

  • Bottled Water
  • Room Upgrade
  • Early Check-in/Late Checkout
  • Priority Access to Rooms

If you believe you did not receive points or Tier Qualifying Nights in error, contact World of Hyatt. Please be sure to have your World of Hyatt account number, booking confirmation number, and stay details ready. 

Reservations made through Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt do not count as purchases at Hyatt hotels and resorts for purposes of the World of Hyatt Credit Card or the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card. World of Hyatt credit card members will still earn 1 Bonus Point per $1 USD spent on their World of Hyatt Credit Card for purchases made on the Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt platform.

World of Hyatt: Redeeming

Yes, World of Hyatt points can be redeemed for free nights for home rental accommodations. Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt properties do not participate in World of Hyatt’s standard award redemption categories, but you can choose to view how many points are required for a particular stay at a property on the site. You will only be able to use points if you have enough points at the time of booking to cover the entire stay. 

No, you can either pay with a credit card or redeem points for your stay. 

No, since Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt does not participate in the standard award redemption categories, free night awards, including Category 1-4 Free Night Awards or Category 1-7 Free Night Awards, cannot be redeemed at Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt.

Each home is unique. Specific amenities for your home are listed within “About This Home” and “Amenities” on the individual property pages.
