The house was originally built for Robert R. and Harriet (Hattie) Blacker in 1892. Robert Blacker was a successful businessman in shingle production, lumber, railroads, banking, drugs, steamships, and waterworks in the late 1800s. He also served in several political offices, including state legislature, Mayor of Manistee, and Secretary of State.

This historic gem is conveniently located in the heart of Manistee. It is only one mile to Lake Michigan and about a short walk to downtown shopping, restaurants, festivals, and everything Manistee offers. You are near it all! This three-level Victorian retreat has had several updates, including new lighting, refinished original hardwood floors, and a new kitchen island. When it comes to outdoor living, the home boasts a fenced yard. Two covered front porches with seating offer great spots to unwind and rest. Additional perks include a Ping-Pong table, board games, a firepit, a gas grill, and a washer/dryer.
